Description:

There are two Grey Mares Tail waterfalls in Scotland, one in Moffat and one in Kinlochmore. Both of these waterfalls are named due to the flow of water looking like the tail of a horse. Kinlochmore's Grey Mares Tail is found in a small woodland on the banks of Loch Leven. Two streams run through the woodland, Allt a Chumhainn and Allt nan Slaten, these converge for the final push to Loch Leven. The Grey Mares Tail is found on Allt nan Slaten as it plunges around 40 feet down steep rocks on the slopes of Sguarr an Fhurain.
